Duke Nukem 3D SlideShows v3-15-2014
These shots where used by 3DRealms to advertise Duke3D before sharware release. These shots would either be standalone as included on some of there games. Others where in there own archives with a /pcx viewer.(This viewer should have been built into the game however) Since Duke screen shots do save as .pcx format.
Anyhow, this is great to see the changes made during devolpoment.

The files included should be:
D3d.exe -slide viewer exe
D3d.hlp -
D3dxx.pcx ( 01 to 47) (Plus 48-51)
Duke3d.txt -3DR notes.
File_id.diz -Game advertisment
README.txt - This file your reading
NOTE.TXT - About the images from 48-51. I didn't find these, someone else did.

-Ideas for TC teams-

I started thinking...Alot of TC teams tend to release either Demos or SCREENSHOTS of there Conversions. Which means Hefty Download or Screenshots from a web page.

Now, with this little tool, provided from 3DRealms..these teams can
save there own .pcx files(screen captures) and allow Dukers to download
the teams own Slide Show, pretty neat.

Midi: No support(to bad,sigh)

The .pcx file(screen captured image) filename format D3dxx.pcx
Where as xx would be the number and order in which the slides are viewed.

-A little production History relevant to the screenshots-

Duke3D 1.3d Shareware v1.0 released : 1 29, 1996
DukeSlideShow SlideDate: 11 19, 1995
Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior Show SlideDate: 8 11, 1995
-Terminal Velocity Reg CD- SlideDate: 6 11, 1995
Terminal Velocity Shareware v1.2 SlideDate: 6 30, 1995
Terminal Velocity Shareware v1.1 SlideDate: 6 1, 1995
LameDuke beta (released January 29, 1997) from : 12 1994

-Changes in the Game-

See if you can pick out all the changes in the images
compared to v1.3d.

I noticed many:(use the pause key to stop each slide)
-Infinity symbol for pistol ammo count
-Scuba gear diving mask (probaly dropped because large player displays/sprite art kills the FPS)
-Now did I see duke looking out of a Spacesuit helemt? I guess they didn't
want the spacesuit in the game..but they should have kept it...
-The medkit looks like like the one in the Atomic manual.
-Theres more, even the scenery has differant art...look for the changes...
